About This Course

Machine learning is no longer the exclusive domain of data scientists and software engineers. Across industries — from finance and healthcare to agriculture and logistics — ML-powered tools are reshaping how organisations operate, compete, and deliver value. Professionals who understand how these systems work, when to apply them, and how to interpret their outputs are becoming indispensable in the modern workplace.

This ten-day programme, Introduction to Machine Learning for Professionals, is designed to bridge the gap between technical capability and business application. It does not assume a background in programming or statistics beyond basic familiarity. Instead, it builds from first principles — helping participants understand what machine learning is, how its core algorithms function, and how to translate organisational challenges into machine learning solutions.

Participants will explore supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, feature engineering, natural language processing, and responsible AI — all through a business-first lens. Hands-on labs using Python and popular ML libraries ground every concept in practice, while real-world case studies drawn from African and global contexts make the learning immediately relevant.

TrainingComplex has designed this course to produce ML-literate professionals who can lead or participate meaningfully in digital transformation initiatives, evaluate vendor ML claims with confidence, and champion evidence-based decision-making in their teams and organisations.
